Two people, a couple from Florida, were arrested just days ago after they had tried using fake COVID vaccination cards while traveling to Hawaii, attempting to skip quarantine requirements if tested positive for COVID.
Court documents show Florida couple Enzo and Daniela Dalmazzo were arrested on Aug. 11 in Honolulu for having fake vaccination cards after flying from Miami to Hawaii with their two children, KTLA sister station KHON in Honolulu reported.
The woman was also charged for giving her 4 and 5-year-old children fake vaccination cards, despite their being too young to be eligible to even receive the vaccine.
Hawaii’s health guidelines state that any person who tests positive for COVID-19 but is vaccinated does not need to be quarantined following their test.
“Last week, U.S. Customs and Border Protection revealed that officers working at the port of Memphis seize hundreds of counterfeit COVID-19 cards every night”, per a KTLA report.
