On Jan. 31, 2022, every media site that I looked at reported that the Moderna Covid vaccine had been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Both leftist sites and conservative sites reported the news. A look at the official letter from the FDA, however, reveals that the media and government (not to mention Big Pharma) are once again pulling a fast one on the American people.

After falling for the false report that the Pfizer vaccine had been fully approved (actually, only Pfizer’s unavailable Comirnaty is approved), I’ve become a little wary of reports of “full FDA approval.” As it turns out, per the Jan. 31 FDA letter, the Moderna Covid vaccine currently available in the US only received another Emergency Use Authorization (EUA). SPIKEVAX, which the FDA letter itself admitted was not available to the general American public, was the only vaccine approved or licensed. Here are some key quotes from the FDA letter:

“On January 31, 2021, FDA approved the biologics license application (BLA) submitted by ModernaTX, Inc. for SPIKEVAX (COVID-19 Vaccine, mRNA) for active immunization to prevent COVID-19 caused by SARS-CoV-2 in individuals 18 years of age and older. . .Having concluded that the criteria for issuance of this authorization under Section 564(c) of the Act are met, I am authorizing the emergency use of Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine for the prevention of COVID-19, as described in the Scope of Authorization section of this letter (Section II) and subject to the terms of this authorization. Additionally, as specified in subsection III.CC., I am authorizing use of SPIKEVAX (COVID-19 Vaccine, mRNA) under this EUA as described in the Scope of Authorization section of this letter (Section II). . .

There is no adequate, approved, and available alternative to the emergency use of Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine to prevent COVID-19. . .Although SPIKEVAX (COVID-19 Vaccine, mRNA) and Comirnaty (COVID-19 Vaccine, mRNA) are approved to prevent COVID-19 in certain individuals within the scope of the Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine authorization, there is not sufficient approved vaccine available for distribution to this population in its entirety at the time of reissuance of this EUA. . .

The Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine vial label and carton labels are clearly marked for ‘Emergency Use Authorization’. . .Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine clearly and conspicuously shall state that:

This product has not been approved or licensed by FDA, but has been authorized for emergency use by FDA [emphasis added].”

And there you have it. So why were even generally solid, reliable sites like Gateway Pundit and Citizen Free Press reporting that the Moderna jab was approved? Well, the conservative sites were not wrong—they did say that Moderna’s Spikevax was approved—and I don’t want to play “gotcha.” Even the best journalists sometimes make mistakes. What they didn’t clarify (perhaps because, like me, when the Pfizer vaccine was supposedly approved, they believed what Moderna so cleverly announced without fact-checking with the FDA letter) was that Spikevax isn’t even available to the American public, and it’s different from “the Moderna vaccine” being administered, so it’s all wordplay.

In fact, acting FDA commissioner Janet Woodcock practically lied outright. By talking about how two vaccines are approved without explaining they’re not available, she implied that the Covid vaccines people can get are approved and thus safe; and she said she hoped the Moderna approval “may instill additional confidence in making the decision to get vaccinated.” And this was soon after whistleblower-leaked Department of Defense data showed astounding and concerning upticks in miscarriages, neurological issues, and cancer for the US military since the Covid vaccine rollout.

Perhaps it’s relevant that in 2020 the NIH claimed “joint ownership of Moderna’s coronavirus vaccine,” and Moderna offered NIH (and thus the US government) “co-ownership of [their] COVID vaccine patent” in Nov. 2021, with NIH’s NIAID (of which Dr. Fauci is head) being explicitly involved. This is tremendously significant, by the way, because legally speaking only an approved vaccine can be mandated. So when your employer or your mayor tells you that you have to get the Covid vaccine and both Moderna and Pfizer have approved vaccines, make sure you have the FDA letter in hand. The media, US government, and Big Pharma are using clever lies and half-truths to try and coerce Americans into taking a dangerous vaccine, while dodging the legal consequences themselves.
