"When I want a sex slave, I just go to the market and choose the woman I like and purchase her." -- Sheikh Abu-Ishaq al Huwayni

Sharia law is spreading its tyranny throughout the world.  Even American politicians have called for it in the past.  Representative Ilhan Omar invoked it in 2020 in response to a reminder that adultery is condemned by the Qur’an, quoting a Muslim law that calls for “eighty stripes” on unjust accusers (which Omar was implying the other person was).  Representative Rashida Tlaib has also shown herself to be pro-Sharia and she and Omar frequently use the epithet “Islamophobic” to silence critics.  But some countries are going even farther than allowing pro-Sharia government officials—Sweden, to be specific, is the latest and worst culprit.

Firstly, the Swedish government, as of April 9, proposed a bill that would legally allow child marriage, a gross practice of child abuse which is part of Islamic law (the bill is expected to take effect in July, if the Riksdag does not override it as it did a previous, similar bill).  The report in a Swedish newspaper says, “The government says yes to approving child marriage if there are ‘special reasons.’ This is stated in a bill that is expected to come into effect on 1 July this year. At the same time, the explicit 18-year-old requirement in the legal text is abolished.”  The report specifically cited “immigrants who have married children.”  Yes, in Sweden, a grown adult (in the case of Muslims, always a man) can have married a child without the marriage being considered invalid (the proposed law seems to be making an exception for marriages with children previously contracted but not under Swedish law).  There are no words to express the outrageous nature of this decision.  Talk about child abuse.  Talk about a law that should make the feminists of Sweden march in the streets in protest.  It is true that the proposed law does not legalize child marriage per se, but it is the first step toward acceptance of child marriage’s full legal recognition.  But this is certainly a decision calculated to pander to Muslims, as Islam endorses marriage of grown men to girls—nay, to infants.

“There is no minimum age for marriage and that girls can be married ‘even if they are in the cradle,’” said Dr. Salih bin Fawzan, prominent cleric and member of Saudi Arabia’s highest religious council, as just one instance of an official statement of this aspect of Islamic law.

This is because of the following fact about the prophet Muhammed (who, for context, was 54 years old at the time he did the latter action): “The Prophet wrote the (marriage contract) with Aisha while she was six years old and consummated his marriage with her while she was nine years old and she remained with him for nine years (i.e. till his death)” (Bukhari 7.62.88).”

No, Sweden didn’t stop there.  On April 15, Jihad Watch (citing Breitbart) reported that a new proposed law supposedly to ban polygamy includes a part that says, “Exceptions to the prohibition shall be possible only if there are exceptional reasons.” Why there would be exceptions at all, is stunning. Again, where are Sweden’s feminists?  Hopefully, they react soon and emphatically, so as to stop this madness before it becomes law officially.  “The Swedish government has been accused of allowing exceptions in a new bill aimed at banning the recognition of polygamous marriages carried out overseas.  Swedish Liberal Party MP Robert Hannah criticized the government bill this week, claiming that while the proposal is advertised as wanting to ban polygamous marriages, it leaves the door open to exceptions,” says the Breitbart report.

What Sweden is doing (if the government bills go unchallenged) is sanctioning Muslim objectification of women, which is widespread and severe in Muslim-heavy parts of the world.  These are the sort of laws that lead to sex slavery.

There are multiple sanctions and even celebrations of sex slavery in the Qur’an and thus Islamic law (sharia).  “Captives of the right hand” are how the Qur’an refers to women captured as a result of war.  The Qur’an says: “O Prophet! Lo! We have made lawful for you your wives to whom you have paid their dowries, and those whom your right hand possesses of those whom Allah has given you as spoils of war” (33:50). Qur’an verses 4:3 and 4:24 extend this privilege to all Muslim men, saying that a man may have sex with his wives and also with these captured slave girls: “The believers must win through, those who humble themselves in their prayers; who avoid vain talk; who are active in deeds of charity; who abstain from sex, except with those joined to them in the marriage bond, or the captives whom their right hands possess, for in their case they are free from blame.” (Qur’an 23:1-6)

Not only that, but the actual rape of captive women is fully sanctioned in the Islamic tradition (warning: explicit language):

“Abu Sirma said to Abu Sa’id al Khadri (Allah be pleased with him): O Abu Sa’id, did you hear Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) mentioning al-’azl? He said: Yes, and added: We went out with Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) on the expedition to the Bi’l-Mustaliq and took captive some excellent Arab women; and we desired them, for we were suffering from the absence of our wives, (but at the same time) we also desired ransom for them. So we decided to have sexual intercourse with them but by observing ‘azl (Withdrawing the male sexual organ before emission of semen to avoid conception). But we said: We are doing an act whereas Allah’s Messenger is amongst us; why not ask him? So we asked Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him), and he said: It does not matter if you do not do it, for every soul that is to be born up to the Day of Resurrection will be born. (Sahih Muslim 3371).”

Further, Islamic law says the following: “When a child or a woman is taken captive, they become slaves by the fact of capture, and the woman’s previous marriage is immediately annulled.” (Umdat al-Salik O9.13)

In May 2011 Egyptian Sheikh Abu-Ishaq al-Huwayni declared that, since this is the “era of jihad,” (war between Muslims and “infidels”), it is still perfectly legitimate for Muslims to take slaves, including sex slaves.  He put it thus, “Jihad is only between Muslims and infidels. Spoils, slaves, and prisoners are only to be taken in war between Muslims and infidels. Muslims in the past conquered, invaded, and took over countries. This is agreed to by all scholars—there is no disagreement on this from any of them, from the smallest to the largest, on the issue of taking spoils and prisoners. The prisoners and spoils are distributed among the fighters, which includes men, women, children, wealth, and so on.”

He continued, “When a slave market is erected, which is a market in which are sold slaves and sex-slaves, which are called in the Qur’an by the name milk al-yamin, ‘that which your right hands possess’ [Qur’an 4:24]. This is a verse from the Qur’an which is still in force, and has not been abrogated. The milk al-yamin are the sex-slaves. You go to the market, look at the sex-slave, and buy her. She becomes like your wife, (but) she doesn’t need a (marriage) contract or a divorce like a free woman, nor does she need a wali. All scholars agree on this point—there is no disagreement from any of them. […] When I want a sex slave, I just go to the market and choose the woman I like and purchase her.” (emphasis added)

JihadWatch reports, “In January 2016, a female al-Azhar professor stated that Allah allowed Muslims to rape non-Muslim women in order to humiliate them.”

This is still happening on a major scale in various majority-Muslim or Muslim-controlled countries—the sexual abuse and exploitation of women and (very) young girls.  Below is part of an April 17, 2021, report by Jason Burke of the Guardian (emphasis added):

“Insurgents in Mozambique have abducted hundreds of women and girls, forcing many into sexual relations with fighters and possibly trafficking others elsewhere in Africa, interviews with some who have escaped the extremists reveal.

Most of the abducted women are under 18, with the youngest about 12 years old. They are being held in a series of camps and bases across insurgent-controlled territory in north-eastern Mozambique.

Many are chosen by young fighters as “wives” and forced into sexual relations. Conditions are extremely harsh, with limited medical care, long marches under guard, unreliable food supplies and a constant risk of attacks by government forces or mercenaries. . .

The interviews reveal how only ‘young and attractive girls’ are targeted by the insurgents. Those selected are known as ‘noodles’, a rare food seen as desirable, in contrast to ‘sorghum’, a staple, the women told researchers.

‘Adolescent girls are the most favorite victims; other ages are spared,’ one interviewee said. . .

Captive women are forced to attend ‘education’ sessions of Qur’anic instruction and ideological lectures, according to the interviewees.”

Meanwhile, in Iraq, according to Jihad Watch, “‘ISIL (Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant) is still holding and selling captive Iraqi Yazidi women as slaves, and now some of these slave sales are being carried out on the dark web.’”
