ISIS has announced that they were responsible for a rocket attack on a U.S. air base early Thursday morning.

Five rockets were launched at Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan. According to a tweet by the military, the attack left no casualties or injuries.

The attack came a day after Afghanistan had announced that they had released 100 Taliban prisoners, claiming that they were among the 5,000 detainees to be released in a deal between the United States and insurgents.

In February, the U.S. and the Taliban signed a peace deal which not only calls for the release of 1,000 government officials by the Taliban, but for a large reduction in U.S. military presence in Afghanistan.

The prisoner release marks the first step on the road towards peace between the U.S. and the Taliban.
