New York Governor Kathy Hochul put local Republicans on blast in a speech from downtown Brooklyn on Saturday. She did not mince words in regards to her feelings toward right-leaning folks and their involvement in the state.

“We are here to say…the era of Trump and Zeldin and Molinaro… just jump on a bus and head down to Florida where you belong. Okay? Get out of town. Get out of town. Cause you don’t represent our values. You are not New Yorkers.”

The governor’s statement was met with cheers and applause from the crowd.

Hochul took office after Andrew Cuomo had a plethora of scandals in 2021 and resigned. Cuomo hand-picked Hochul to be his political successor. She is now running in 2022 to enjoy a full term.

Conservative relocation from New York to Florida has been a very real phenomenon. Last year, Republicans gained the statewide voter registration advantage for the first time in Florida’s history under Governor Ron DeSantis. Much of this can be chalked up to outsiders from places like New York who are moving to the state.

Vice Chairman of the Florida Republican Party Christian Ziegler told Breitbart that while it’s worrisome to see so many people pour into the state, it was driven by freedom-loving Americans.

“You know, the initial worry, which I agree with people, is I do not want people coming from California and New York and Illinois with their voting records, with their voting history and preferences. I do not want blue voters coming to Florida and shaping our state,” Ziegler said.

“But, when you take a step back and you really dive into the numbers and you dive into the feedback from the people moving here, what we’re seeing is people are fleeing these tyrannical blue states that have an overextended government. They’re shutting down businesses, they’re shutting down schools, and they’re looking around the country and trying to figure out where to relocate.”

Ziegler finished, “So I think that we’re getting the movers, and the movers coming here are actually pro-freedom conservatives that were locked down in blue states, and now they are fleeing to Florida to be free.”

As New York becomes increasingly unfriendly to conservatives and Republicans, relocation will likely continue at a high pace.

  1. I will leave when that bitch leaves. She has some nerve telling the Republicans to leave NY. We definitely need a change. With her in office we are only going down hill just like our president. I am not proud to say that she is our governor. Maybe we need to get Cuomo back.

  2. Does she really believe the voting illegals, minorities, welfare recipients, etc etc left in the state will pay enough taxes to satisfy New York’s budget? Nah, she will just demand a federal handout.

  3. Does that mean black republicans also need to leave the State? I was under the impression Democrats are non-racist! (Ha, Ha, Ha).
