Democratic lawmakers continued their totalitarian march last week after two left-wing House members sent letters to various cable providers demanding they drop Fox News, One American News Network (OANN), and Newsmax following the incident at the Capitol in Washington on January 6th.

Representatives Anna Eshoo and Jerry McNerny, both from California, sent the letters to major cable providers, including Alphabet (the parent company of Google), AT&T, and Verizon, demanding that they drop right-wing sources immediately.

In the body of the letter, the two Representatives accused the major cable providers of “playing an active role,” in the spread of “dis-information,” about the 2020 Presidential election leading up to the incident in Washington.

Fox and Newsmax respond:

  • Fox News released a statement, saying: “Demanding cable distributors engage in viewpoint discrimination sets a terrible precedent.”
  • Newsmax fired back directly, suggesting that “the House Democrats’ attack on free speech and basic First Amendment rights should send chills down the spines of all Americans.”

OANN did not issue a statement.
