Alabama Senator-elect Tommy Tuberville suggested on an interview with Mobile Alabama’s 106.5 talk radio that he and a number of his Congressional colleagues are interested in rejecting the electoral college results in states that were in question.

Though Tuberville has not fully committed to joining the movement, he stated he would do his “due diligence.”

When asked if he would continue to support President Trump, Tuberville said, “Of course, I’m always going to support President Trump. He’s the best president of my lifetime and has done more for the people of this country and the state of Alabama than anybody. But we want to make sure we do the right thing.”

Tuberville’s inclusion would be significant for the Congressional “Stop the Steal” campaign, as he would be the first senator to join the movement. Currently, Alabama Congressman Mo Brooks is leading the campaign, but there cannot be a formal house debate unless one senator joins the cause.

Whether Tubberville joins or not, his interest in the Stop the Steal campaign will certainly help the movement gain momentum so other notable Republicans might join the ranks.
