House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband Paul Pelosi was just hit with punishments after drunkenly crashing into a Jeep in late May (mugshot here).

Reports initially claimed Pelosi had been pulled over for driving under the influence. However, police reports later revealed that the multimillionaire actually crashed into another vehicle while drunk behind the wheel.

Now, Pelosi will be dealing with the consequences. However, those consequences won’t include hard jail time, despite a sentence of five days.

Fox News reports:

Paul Pelosi, the multimillionaire husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., pleaded guilty to driving under the influence and causing injury on Tuesday in connection to drunk driving charges back in May.

Pelosi’s plea agreement includes a jail term of five days, although Judge Joseph Solga noted that he already had credit for four days, two from actual time served and two for conduct credits. The remaining day will be covered by an 8-hour work program.

The sentence also includes a three-month drunk driving program, one year with an ignition interlock device, restitution payments, as well as three years of probation.

As part of the agreement, Pelosi pleaded guilty to violating California Vehicle Code 23153(a), and a second charge was dismissed in the interest of justice.

Paul Pelosi pleaded not guilty to two DUI charges stemming from his drunk driving arrest in May.

As previously reported, according to court documents, Paul Pelosi, husband to Speaker Nancy Pelosi, slurred his speech and had a ‘drug’ in his system during his drunk driving arrest on May 28.

Mr. Pelosi also handed the arresting officers an “11-99 Foundation” card along with his ID to show he supports police officers.

Pelosi had red, watery eyes, was “unsteady on his feet” and “he had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from his breath,” according to official reports.

“Pelosi allegedly injured the other driver “while under the influence of an alcoholic beverage and a drug and under their combined influence,” the first count in the two-charge complaint reads.” Fox News reported.
