The Post also learned the search warrant obtained by the FBI was supposed to focus exclusively on presidential records and classified information.
Trump’s 3,000 square foot private quarters was searched, as well as a locked basement. The raid was done by over 30 plain clothes agents. These agents were based out of the Southern District of Florida and the FBI’s Washington Field Office.
Agents were on the property for nine and a half hours. According to eyewitness reports, boxes were confiscated by the FBI.
The shocking news comes as part of a raid by FBI agents on Monday. Donald Trump broke the news via a statement, saying his home was “raided” and “occupied” by a “large group of FBI agents”. Trump supporters quickly rallied to the President’s defense, both physically at Mar-a-Lago and online. Trump released a trailer on the social media platform Truth Social, leaving some to wonder if this is a “trailer” for a 2024 presidential run.
