Wednesday, rising conservative star Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) shared news to Twitter that his office received a copy of “Uncle Tom’s Cabin” in the mail, a racist message suggesting Donalds is ‘obedient’ to white people.
The classic book, written by Harriet Beecher Stowe and published in 1852, is an anti-slavery novel derived from the author’s Christian values, but Donalds says this copy has been sent with a sinister meaning.
The term “Uncle Tom” has frequently been used by Democrats and black nationalists to describe conservative Black people who refuse to back far-left priorities, such as Clarence Thomas and Donalds.
“Today, my D.C. office received a copy of the world-renowned book “Uncle Tom’s Cabin” by Harriet Beecher Stowe. Whoever sent this book did so w/ hate in their heart & the desire to depict me as a sellout,” Donalds wrote.
“Concentration & mental toughness are the margins of victory. – Bill Russell,” he added, citing the recently-deceased NBA great.
In his tweet, Donalds included a picture of the book his office received.
Just weeks ago, Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO), called Donalds a “Black prop” of the GOP during the speakership election.

These Democratic imbeciles propose to hate racism. This is the worst kind. Who ever sent this to Byron is clearly a racist asshole.
They can’t explain why they think his political views are wrong. The only thing they’re left with is to attack him.
