Virginia’s newly-elected Lieutenant Governor Winsome Sears famously stole the show at Glenn Youngkin’s election night party with her genuine and bright disposition, and according to a report from Fox News, Sears has once again brought her quick wit to the spotlight.

Virginia Lt. Gov. Winsome Sears reportedly used her high-heeled patent leather pump to gavel the Virginia Senate to order Monday after someone made off with her gavel.
Washington Post reporter Laura Vozzella tweeted that “an unknown prankster” took the gavel and hid it, but that Sears “took the trick in stride.”
“One shoe can change your life,” Sears said of her quick-thinking solution. “Just ask Cinderella.”
Sears continued her tweets with another hilarious remark, typing, “Resourcefulness- never underestimate it,” in response to Vozzella’s tweet.
Sears, Virginia’s first black female Lieutenant Governor, is currently serving as the tie-breaking vote in the state’s senate. The Democrats have a narrow majority in the chamber.
Since capturing hearts and minds on the campaign trail, Sears has played a critical part in the administration of the newly sworn-in Republican Gov. Glenn Youngkin, who has taken measures related to COVID-19 and critical race theory in schools.
