Hello Everyone, Happy Saturday.

Our topic of discussion for today is the shockingly racist, unconstitutional, and cognitively dissonant legislation passed by Oregon’s Democrat Legislatures. Which was subsequently signed into law by Oregon’s Democrat Governor. 

As reported by The Wall Street Journal, Oregon Democrats passed The Oregon Cares Fund. Something stated by Democrats as “unprecedented.” Depends on what they mean by that, but it is most assuredly unconstitutional.

The law sets aside a $62 million dollar emergency COVID fund. This fund is exclusively set aside for “Black people, Black-owned businesses, and Black community organizations.” No other need apply. 

Black Families will be able to, alone, receive $3,000 from the fund, almost three times the CARES Act direct stimulus. And only black businesses will be eligible for up to $100,000.

This flies in the face of our Constitution’s 14th Amendment. Which guarantees, “No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.”

Equal protection of the law means equal application of the laws. How is segregating one race of the population equal application to that race or the rest?

For the cherry on top, it is federally illegal for States to engage in such egregious conduct. 18 U.S.C. § 242 & 42 U.S.C § 1983 provide criminal and civil liability, respectively, for any person acting under the color of state law to deprive anyone’s rights “secured by the Constitution and laws.” 

On top of the Constitution’s guarantee of our rights and the equal application of laws—we have the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Our federal legislation makes it illegal and outlaws discrimination on the basis of “race, color…” It especially applies to public, i.e. government, conduct, and actions.

This type of law is racist eight ways from Sunday. I’d love to hear any counterarguments to my points. Because these Democrats enacted the legislation for one of two reasons which seem to be the only “logical” points they could present. 

Either these Democrats believe that black families and businesses are inferior to other types of families and businesses and are acutely in special need of government support. Or Democrats believe black families and businesses are superior to others—meaning others are inferior—and must receive special commitment. Which, if superior, seems special aid would not be needed. So, which is it?

Both viewpoints are inherently despicable, discriminatory, and full-fledged racist. So much for proclaiming to be the party of the be-all, end-all, to racism—especially “systemic racism.” If you’ve ever been asked to find a law that is systematically racist—here it is.

Moreover, the Democrats have been claiming since the beginning of this pandemic, all Americans are suffering and in need of help. Ironic, because Democrat Leadership shot down a $1.8 Trillion dollar stimulus offer from the Trump Administration because it lacked federal bailouts for Democrat States and Special Interests. 

This evidence leads to the conclusion Democrats are operating in a state of cognitive dissonance. Which is where ones stated thoughts and beliefs are inconsistent with the actions they take. If Democrats truly believed all Americans are suffering; All Americans would have access to public funds to help them during these authoritarian lockdowns which are destroying All American Businesses and Families. 

As the old adage goes, the best hiding spot is in plain sight.
