According to two unidentified sources, Politico reports the United States' next U.N. ambassador will more than likely be Cindy McCain, the widow of late Senator John McCain.

According to two unidentified sources, Politico reports, the United States’ next United Nations ambassador will more than likely be Cindy McCain, the widow of late Senator John McCain.

The Bidens and McCains have become close friends over the years in Washington, despite political differences between the two families. In 2020, Cindy McCain ended up endorsing the President against her late husband’s political foe, Donald Trump.

Many consider the Trump-McCain feud the main reason the former president did not carry the state of Arizona in the last election.

If the unverifiable reports from Politico are true, McCain will be the first Republican nominated by Joe Biden’s administration.
