Firebrand Kari Lake slammed Piers Morgan on his “Uncensored” show after he dismissed her concerns over election integrity, saying, “I frankly don’t give a damn what you think about it.”
Lake lost to Governor Katie Hobbs in the 2022 Arizona gubernatorial election by less than one percentage point, and the former news anchor challenged the results in court.
In the interview with Morgan, things got heated fast when the British host claimed that it is “pretty clear that [Lake] lost to Katie Hobbs.”
Lake refuted his claim:
“There’s a mountain of hard evidence. And when we presented it in our trial, the other side didn’t even dispute the evidence. They didn’t,” Lake responded.
“We can’t continue to run elections this way. And we know that we won and we’re going to continue to fight this in a court of law. And it’s really rich that you’re sitting across the pond acting like you know what happened on Election Day.”
“I did not see your smiling face. We had lots of international media here covering Election Day in Arizona. Yours is one face I didn’t see,” she retorted.
Morgan shot back:
“There does come a point when for the future of democracy, you and Donald Trump have to accept at some point you lost an election. Otherwise, the entire system collapses.”
Lake then explained what she has heard from so many Arizonans… that their ballots – for her – were rejected on Election Day.
“I can’t walk 10 feet without an Arizonan saying, ‘I voted for you. Everybody I know voted for you. Our ballot was rejected on Election Day. Please keep fighting for us.’ I’m fighting for the people of Arizona. And I don’t mean any offense to you, but I frankly don’t give a damn what you think about it. I’m fighting for the people of Arizona.”
Does not Lake’s argument support the importance and need for in person voting, in a constricted window.
the election in PA was decided long before election day, along Party lines; before there was any public debate and his inability to serve was made public. Lake had the votes of her supporters rejected on election day. BY whom, and for what reason? If they had appeared in public to vote, I doubt their votes would have been rejected.
Many were turned away from the polls due to machine breakdowns that caused unacceptable wait times. She’s right about this and she’s the one to run with it! Bottom lie is this: mail in votes leads to mail in politicians.
I really do like Kari. She has spirit and does not back down. We need her in Arizona
LOL – Absolutely the best interview comeback I’ve heard in a while. As that infamous quote from “Gone with the Wind” …. “Frankly, my dear, I don’t give a damn”….
