Florida Governor Ron DeSantis took Dr. Anthony Fauci head on in a recent speech.
DeSantis told a group of supporters “I’m just sick of seeing him. I know he says he’s gonna retire. Someone needs to grab that little elf and chuck him across the Potomac!”

Many liberals didn’t like this statement by DeSantis. One leftist said he was “glad” he doesn’t live in Florida – to which many conservatives responded, “good!”

DeSantis has quickly become one of the most popular conservative governors in the nation. He has been willing to take on cultural fights that many establishment Republicans have avoided. DeSantis has called for the suing of doctors who participate in the genital mutilation of children. He also signed a bill in the spring of 2021 that would fine big tech companies for banning dissenting viewpoints online. Many conservatives consider DeSantis to be the leader of the new American right-wing, second only to former President Donald J. Trump in the power rankings.
