DNC Advisor Calls Republicans “Domestic Terrorist Cell”

A DNC advisor agreed with Biden’s decision to label conservatives as a threat to democracy and pushed it one step further: calling Republicans “domestic terrorists.”

Kurt Bardella, an advisor to the Democratic Party and a contributor to USA Today, made his case for Republicans being a “domestic terrorist cell operating in America”:

“Joe Biden has been doing his job, and now that the legislative successes have piled up, he can now turn his focus to the broader conversation many of us have been having about the health of democracy. Let’s be very clear here: the Republican party, the MAGA Republicans, are a domestic terrorist cell operating in America…”

Popular Democratic activist and Twitter user BrooklynDad_Defiant reiterated the calls to label the GOP as a terrorist threat: 

The term “domestic terrorist” has an official definition from the FBI: 

Domestic Terrorism for the FBI’s purposes is referenced in U.S. Code at 18 U.S.C. 2331(5), and is defined as activities:

• Involving acts dangerous to human life that are a violation of the criminal laws of the United States or of any State;
• Appearing to be intended to:
  • Intimidate or coerce a civilian population,
  • Influence the policy of government by intimidation or coercion; or
  • Affect the conduct of a government by mass destruction, assassination or kidnapping; and
  • Occurring primarily within the territorial jurisdiction of the United States. 

These inflammatory statements from Bardella and many other Democrats have led many to speculate what actions the Left may be willing to take to battle this “terrorism.”

Joe Biden and the administration have begun branding conservative Republicans as “MAGA Republicans” who are a “threat to democracy.” Biden even suggested the use of F-15 fighter jets against “right-wing Americans” who want to “[keep] America’s independence safe.”
