Governor Brian Kemp and Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, who both abandoned then-President Trump during his election suits in their state of Georgia, are now backing election integrity and voting bills in the state legislature.

It is too little too late in the mind of most Trump supporters, as many feel disenfranchised in a party in which they made up the base of voters.

Both Kemp and Raffensperger are up for re-election in 2022. And, thanks to faulty voting laws and Stacey Abrams’ get out the vote campaign, Georgia Democrats have all the momentum.

Both of these factors are extremely consequential, especially considering neither state GOP leader is too popular amongst Georgians.

The Governor and his Sec. of State are clearly positioning for 2022, but don’t expect Trump-allied voters in the Peach state to forget 2020… or show up.
