Biden’s rioters ravaging us.  Endless lies told to destroy our livelihoods.  Our commander in chief forced from the field though many of us would see him speak, ill or no.

THESE are the times that try men’s souls. The summer Republican and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but those that stand firm now deserve the love and thanks of man and woman.

Leftist tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly: it is dearness only that gives everything its value. Heaven knows how to put a proper price upon its goods; and it would be strange indeed if so celestial an article as FREEDOM should not be highly rated.

Biden, with a mob army to enforce his tyranny, has declared a right to welcome foreign invaders to our shores, to tax what little we have after his party’s governors shuttered out communities, and to BIND us in ALL CASES with gags, and with house arrest should we fall ill – with prison itself should we resist.  He has sworn to nationally mandate these things, and addressed no exceptions for those who cannot physically tolerate restricted breathing or who are at little risk to begin with.  If being bound in that manner is not slavery, then is there no such thing as slavery upon earth.

Whether our President is too brash, or not bold enough, I will not now enter into an argument concerning it; my own simple opinion is, that had we elected him two decades earlier, it would have been much better.

Patriots did not make a proper use of our time from 1950 to 2012, lazy in defense of our culture, and duped by leaders who promised much but delivered little (though we did elect Ronal Reagan).  Those of us who did not act between elections to save our schools, media, and churches from liberal wolves, or who voted for weak leaders, have none to blame but themselves for the desperate need to win now.

But we are not yet lost, and there is good hope that we never will be.  All that Biden has been doing for these six months past is rather a ravage than a conquest.  The spirit of Christians and Conservatives in the time of our grandfathers would have quickly repulsed the Democrat destruction of the economy and vicious mob rule.  That spirit we have now largely recovered.  I no longer see conservatives cowering.

And there is more.  I have as little superstition in me as any man living, but my opinion has ever been that God Almighty will not give up a people to political destruction, or leave them to perish, who have so earnestly and so repeatedly sought to avoid conflict with their leftist neighbors, by every decent method which wisdom could invent.  Neither have I so much of the infidel in me, as to suppose that God has relinquished the government of America, and given us up to the care of devils; and as I do not, I cannot see on what grounds Joseph Biden can look up to heaven for help against us: Herod the baby killer and Nero, who also ignored the burning of his country, had as good a pretense as he.

Tis surprising to see how rapidly a panic (or pandemic) will sometimes run through a country. All nations and ages have been subject to such dread.  Rome quaked at the march of the barbarians; Britain trembled at the raids of the Vikings upon its holy monasteries.  Panic’s duration is always short; the mind soon overcomes it, and acquires a firmer habit than before.

The peculiar advantage we must hope for from either mob or virus is that such chaos be the touchstone of sincerity and hypocrisy, and bring things and men to light, which might otherwise have lain forever undiscovered, as God will do for all deeds in the end  Media, corporate leaders, and Democrat Party Elite have been revealed to be either in union with the forces of destruction or cowering before them, secret traitors all.  We are better for knowing of their duplicity.

Such times also stiffen the spines of good men, for who previously imagined our Republican senators could be so united behind our president as they are now, even Murkowski having carefully walked back her opposition to the latest Supreme Court nominee?

Finally, there is a natural firmness in some men and women, such as the president, which cannot be undone by general panic. Many quieter patriots have also discovered in themselves a store of fortitude which when unlocked cannot be put back.  The Democrats know that these have awoken fully to their game – and they are now at least as desperate as we to claim victory, least the snares they have set for our destruction spring shut upon their makers.

Moreover, the blessings of the Lord abound.  Despite his recent mild illness, it has been God’s pleasure to bless President Trump with excellent health, and give him a mind that flourishes while that of his opponent fades.  We were graced with three years of prosperity to blunt the seven months of famine we have now endured.  And we have been blessed too with no less than three opportunities to re-ignite our high court’s passion for the Constitution.

I shall conclude with what we must do.  We must thank God for all he has done.  We must petition him to use us as the instruments of securing our children’s freedom, and to bestow his blessing for the salvation of all.  We must shun any fear of those who may now only receive God’s aid by turning from their violent path.  With three weeks remaining to us, we must donate what money we can give to our president’s campaign to give him the public voice he has temporarily lost.  We must fill the roadside with our signs, the ears of our family and friends with persuasion.  We must vote and track our ballots – if we choose to trust the mail with them instead of voting in person, and check to see that they have been received with our local election office, and if not cast a provisional ballot on election day at our normal polling places.

And we must be good to our fellow patriots.
