The hashtag “WriteInTrumpForGA” has gained traction on Twitter after Trump attorney Lin Wood tweeted his annoyance for the lack of support for Senators Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue have shown for President Trump.

In Tuesday’s tweet, Wood said, “Let’s speak the truth about Kelly Loeffler & David Perdue. Why are they doing little or nothing to support efforts by GA citizens to address unlawful elections & the need for Brian Kemp to order special session of legislature? If not fixed, I will NOT vote in GA runoff. Will you?”

Immediately over 29,000 people liked Wood’s tweet, and thousands of users retweeted it. Additionally, the leaders of last week’s “Stop the Steal” rally have vowed to boycott the Georgia runoff, unless something is done about voter irregularities.

Ironically, Wood’s tweet has garnered immense left-wing support. “Women Against Trump” has already tweeted their support for the idea, and Act Blue has quickly designed billboards, which they are currently raising money for.

Presumably, the goal of the write-in Trump campaign is to make Trump the Majority Leader of the Senate, but according to Georgia law that is impossible. During runoff elections, you cannot write-in candidates’ names.
