Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (Socialist-NY), up to her usual far-left tricks, has instructed her Instagram followers to reassess whether they believe any pro-life Democrat should remain in the party.
Her comments come after the Roe v Wade decision Friday, which sent the question of abortion back down to the states after nearly 50 years of federal protection.
“Also, if you live in a blue area, when people say ‘go vote,’ that should include primary elections too,” she told her followers.
“Because, the thing that a lot of people don’t like to talk about, is the fact that not every Democrat is pro-choice. Okay? So, the ones that aren’t, we really need to reassess if it’s appropriate for them to continue to serve in 2022 because people should have the right to control their own body. This is pretty basic.”
AOC‘s comments, while not directed at any individual, could be a reference to Rep. Henry Cuellar’s recent primary runoff in Texas. Cuellar is one of the last truly moderate Democrats remaining and just survived a challenge from a progressive opponent days ago.
Cuellar’s seat will be relatively safe for the Democrats in the 2022 midterms.
Across the country, Pro-life views are being persecuted in the media and in the streets. In many cities, violent riots broke out, injuring police and forcing a state Capitol to be evacuated.
