Hillary Clinton stated in a recent video that there are “right-wing extremists planning to steal” the 2024 election.
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton did a promotion video for the advocacy nonprofit Indivisible Guide. In this video, Clinton gives her perspective of the dangers to democracy and looking ahead to both the 2022 midterm elections and ultimately the 2024 presidential election – an election which she says is going to be “stolen” by the Right.
“I’m here to highlight something that is keeping me up at night and I know this group really understands what I’m about to say. I know we’re all focused on the 2022 midterm elections and they are incredibly important. But we also have to look ahead. Because you know what? Our opponents certainly are. Right-wing extremists already have a plan to steal the next presidential election. And they are not making a secret of it. The right-wing-controlled Supreme Court may be poised to rule on giving state legislators…the power to overturn presidential elections. Just think, if that happens, the 2024 presidential election could be decided not by the popular vote…but by state legislatures. Many of them are Republican-controlled.”
The video ends with Clinton Pitching a new website, “Crush the Coup”, a fundraising campaign to direct funds into six primary states. These states include Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Georgia, and Arizona – six states they believe will make a difference in 2024 regarding legislators.

The video is considered ironic to many, considering the Democratic party’s recent emphasis on slamming Republicans who engage in “election denial” over the 2020 election. Rogue Review has reported on Democrats denying past elections, including Hillary Clinton, Kamala Harris, Joe Biden, Barack Obama and many others.
One of the infographics shared underneath the original video says “MAGA has a plan to steal the 2024 election. To fight back, we need to win key state legislator races right now.”
The framing of the discussion has puzzled some. If state legislators happen to be Republican, the nonprofit organization blindly suggests they’re staging a “coup.” If the state legislators are Democrats, the organization says they’re carrying out “democracy.”
Both the video and nonprofit organization are designed to put a fresh face on a political battle that happens year-round: the battle for state legislators. Democrats realize the need for these important, but little-covered races. By framing this in an urgent light and getting Hillary Clinton on camera – the organization hopes to generate enough interest to win these races and control key state legislators going into the 2024 election.
